Internet radio, or webcasting, is a way to air recorded or live radio. Unlike podcasts whereby a user has to download the file, online radio is streamed live. There are many radio stations or radio networks that have the online 'listen live' feature, Radio 1 for example. Along with just audio, many stations give the option of watching the live webcam. The ability to stream live footage of the studio or graphics make for more in-depth listening.
The benefit of online radio being that no matter where you are in the world, as long as you have access, online radio is available.
